If you pay the entire balance with gift cards, it gets charged at point of purchase. If you combine gift cards with credit/debit/PayPal, it won't be charged until the order ships.

Agreed. Used to be 3500 for $5 but it’s been at least 2 years since I’ve seen it. This is a good deal and the rewards are easy to use since they get deposited directly into the msft account.
