You can always switch it to 1080p when doing normal work and switch back to 4K for multimedia use to preserve battery life. I don't find 4K necessary on a laptop, especially NOT below a 15.6 screen....

You maybe able to check the model under Tech Specs. Envy comes up in 4 models - If you click under tech specs in the below link: One of them only comes in FHD and does not have the full speed...

Anyone who got the laptop can confirm whether its TB-3?
Post #138120899 added 06-19-2020 6:59 AM by norazi in Deal Talk
At native text scaling, probably. You can set the scaling to something like 120% to make it similar to 1080p in readability but then you are just paying more and wasting battery for a feature you...

Two pictures are different. The second picture (perspective view) shows a Type C data and powerport, like this. Whereas the sixth picture (side view) shows a Thunderbolt port. I think the...

2-in-1? But you're right, the touchscreen has no value for me in a laptop. It would if this were a 2-in-1. At 2-1/2 pounds, I could manage it as a tablet. At 3-1/2 pounds, like many of the...

My bad, yes just touchscreen but still big difference vs non-touchscreen. Btw, Samsung Flex Alpha is 2.6 lbs, 2 in 1 touchscreen can be had for about $710-820. I am the opposite. ...

Its a thunderbolt symbol, not a charging symbol. Not only that, but pretty sure this model is on the Project Athena certified list. Guess I'll find out when mine arrives. ...

Great deal for the price. You can't find a good 400 nits display in sub $700 price. You can't upgrade RAM though, it's soldered.

They said it wasn't fair, they were just pointing out that HP IS in fact capable of making a decent laptop so his point is invalid

I have what's basically the 2015 version of this laptop. It has a QHD+ (3200x1800) 13" display. The default Windows scaling running at that resolution is 250%, which, IMO, makes everything too big....

Spectre and Envy are different products. You are comparing high end product V a midrange one. I personally have no issues with HP, but the comparison isn't fair.
