I have the Ryobi version and it’s one of my favorite lights. Even while not as bright I can imagine the deWalt light has to be better. Fair price! Good find.

Warning to potential buyers: This one has two settings: absurdly bright and red. I’m not sure why DeWalt went with just one brightness setting on a spotlight, but it’s kind of annoying.

seems like a great deal. i just picked up the dcl040 in a kit last month. looks like you can sell dcl040 for $30-$35 on ebay so upgrading to this brighter light for just another $20 cost works for me

These lights are really apples and oranges, the 050 is an "area" light, like a small floodlamp. I love my 050 for working under cars etc. Hilarious that it has a red light so your eyes don't lose...
