They're legit. It's a company that's been around a while. Klipsch bought them out a few years ago. Few audio sites and Reddit say the S series is worth it when they're on sale.

That wouldn't work because the preamp outs are full frequency. A dedicated LFE output is what a subwoofer needs. Using your method, his subwoofer would sound like total 💩
