It isn't actually that small (18" H x 13.9" W x 6.9" D ) but its shape may suit some rooms better than a cube. Reviews and price are good.

They're legit. It's a company that's been around a while. Klipsch bought them out a few years ago. Few audio sites and Reddit say the S series is worth it when they're on sale.

That wouldn't work because the preamp outs are full frequency. A dedicated LFE output is what a subwoofer needs. Using your method, his subwoofer would sound like total 💩

This is exactly why I bought this. Size matters. We didn’t have the space for a large sub. This is a slim design and looks great. And the reality is it provides enough bass for the room we have
