A chainmail scrubber can damage the oxide layer with enough force. This won't. I've never had a problem with these melting, but I've always cooled / let my pots cool before using it.

The flat scraper sees more use cleaning leftover dough out of bowls than cleaning my cast iron, but it works great for both.

I agree with the previous post, bamboo spoon, specifically a "corner" spoon. This plus a chainmail scrubber is all you need.

I have used the pan scraper for cleaning up caulking lines. AS far as the grill scraper I prefer a metal version.
