Well the fact that this "deal" is active for one week is an indicator. Buyers simply don't want 8gb ram on a device which costs nearly 1k. I hope Lenovo team are learning their lesson.

It comes with 4800u and 16gb ram in EU and Asian market but Lenovo couldn't be able to import it to USA yet, covid19 and trade war slows down laptop release dates. Because of this EU is getting newer...
Where have you seen that the Envy x360 13 4700u has thermal problems? I've been digging around for reviews and most users have been reporting that it handles heat quite well even while gaming.

Ableton is an audio app and would likely run fine on an i3 8145. This processor is useful for video editing, archiving or other CPU intensive activities. In other words it's excessive.
