Anyone have a suggestion for a shallow led retrofit kit that's screw in like this? I bought one from Philips and my existing box isn't deep enough.

Unsure how that's relevant considering this is a remodel unit.. meaning this is for someone that already has 6" cans and doesn't want to rip them out to install new LED cans? Nor would they...

So if I have 6 inch cans with regular bulbs, this would work for me? Need to look up how it hooks up to the existing can to get it. Also, Any cons to doing this versus replacing the cans outright?...

Great deal for a quality brand item. Just make sure the light output is enough for where you want to put it. I started replacing all lights around the house early on when these LED cans were still...

In your case it sounds like no. Compared to plain LED bulbs, these retrofits include a trim, so you can't see the can above, if aesthetics are important. The slimmer all-in-one models are simpler to...

These are nice and simple if you are moving from incandescent to LED but I'd rather get led bulbs. They claim years of life but most likely won't last that long before losing 50% brightness and...

Another benefit of this style in an older home is that old cans leaked crazy amount of air into the attic, retrofits effectively seal up the old can without removing.
