Don’t know why people hate on this router, been rocking it for over 2 years now, so much better than the stock Spectrum WiFi router so I’m pretty happy with it. Rarely has any issues.

Find a router compatible with openwrt or buy a mini 4 port appliance on amazon, stick opnsense on it and buy a ubiquiti access point for some decent reliability an usability.

C8 is the better option, it is a newer revision of the A7 and has a dual core processor instead of a single core on the A7. Also has better port selection and MIMO which I dont believe the A7 has.

Its only $12 more than the refurb A7 anyway. You get a better A9 ARM dual core processor too for QoS functionality and what not.
