Not sure if it was the same brand but I remember that clearance as well at Home Depot. The stupid system was cheaper than the filters. I believe mine were $59 or $79.

This is an electric unit, it filters water on demand. I have the bigger 3 filter version of this unit and love it. Personally I will never go back to an old tank style system.

Just a recommendation, if you buy a RO system, make sure to buy a pressure reducer. There are little diagrams that control water flow in the RO manifold and they tear easily when the water pressure...

This can filter more water because it uses an electric pump. It delivers water on demand, its not like the old style systems that use water pressure to filter the water then store it in a tank.
