It's probably because their jar (i have FourSide) lasts about 2 years, at which time the rubber seals at the bottom is deteriorated.

Doesn't this 4-side jar defeat the purpose of owning a Blendtec? You can get a decent motor and blade in other blenders, but you buy the Blendtec for their Wildside jar. That mixes everything better...

I have both the 4 side and Wildside jar with my Blendtec blender. I actually prefer the 4 side in 90% of the recipes I make. It's a lot better with smaller recipes as well. Unless the neighbors are...
