Thanks for the heads up. I haven’t owned Altra’s before so all my other shoes have been “normal” shaped and I haven’t had any issues. Hopefully these are going to work for me. If you are referring...

Not sure if a narrow toe box is a problem for you but reviews indicate this. I was interested in this pair but passed on it after reading those reviews.

Received my Altra Superior 4. Fits true to size. Very comfy - especially the roomy toe box. I usually do a 4-5 mile trail run and needed more grip on the steeper areas. Can’t wait to try them out!

They had all sizes when the deal first hit the front page. JackRabbit was selling these recently for about 20 bucks more.

I love Altra shoes, but whenever I think about getting another pair they never have any decent sizes ... 8 and then 13? That gap is like where 80% of the adult population is.

I did 5 miles trail running in the superior 3.5 this morning. I wear the same size as my Nike pegasus running shoes. 10.5. Just an FYI. Love the 3.5, wish they had my size in the 4s

I had Lone Peak 4.5 and use it mostly for hiking. They’re amazing and my feet are less sore after a hike.

I do mostly sub-5 mile runs on pretty technical stuff, so I think a lighter/thinner shoe would work a little better for me. But for, say, gravel trails at 10k+ distances (or all day hikes) the...

Totally agree - I have a pair of Altra trail runners as well. They are the best hiking shoes I've had! I've put about 60 miles on them so far and am 100% impressed. They dry quickly too!

Yeah but there’s no way to tie a runners knot with those. It’s kind of pointless to spend the money in a good pair of running shoes and then not tie a runners knot. My ankles and feet would kill me...

Logged in just to say to get Lock laces, game-changer for running...never have to worry about laces not being tied right or being too done/coming undone. Search on Amazon, they're like $8

Thank you. Was going to ask about these vs the Lone Peak. Photo suggests less cush than the Lone Peak. I think it depends on whether the shoe is intended your daily driver or your go-for-it.

Toe nails are cut and shoes are sized up and it's never a problem. Walk down a 14,000' peak with swollen feet and you're gonna have a bad time. But whatev man, you do you.
