They take 4x CR123 batteries, which cost about $20 or more for rechargables, oh, and you can walk past one and it won't start recording until your back is almost out of frame.

The arlo pro has a delay issue with recording. Wouldn’t waste my money on it. Get pro 2 and you won’t regret it
