It really is worth waiting for the Ken Onion version. A few dollars more but it will let you do anything you need. But for $54 you could do a lot worse.

what about a $500 fujiwara gyuto 240mm CS? Probably KO for 20°? I have a couple of chips on knife now, get this for other cheap knives and take gyuto to blade shop.

I've got japanese, German, and American cutlery and this sharpener works excellently for sharpening all of them. I do have the Ken Onion version of the sharpener, though.

People with dull scissors?
My wife cuts my hair. When the scissors get dull, they pull hair. I can buy new scissors or spend 5 minutes sharpening the old ones. Pretty simple math.
