You're not getting s35vn at this price. 5Cr15MoV / 440C / 4116 is the lowest end steel I'd consider even worth sharpening. 8Cr13MoV is worse, it's gas station knife quality. 5Cr sharpens better...

Heat treatment matters too. Buck does a great job with 420HC, Victorinox has been successful with 1.4116.

Found it. It’s 1.4116 steel. 1.4116 equals to 5Cr15MoV Composition: C .45% - .5%, Cr 14.5% - 14.8%, Mn .4%, Mo .6%, P .02%, Si .4% - .6%, V .1%

Steel type is 1.4116. European equivalent to 420hc, I think Victorinox Swiss knives use that steel.
