If you're just doing an image, Macrium Reflect (free) has worked for me twice. I do two images on "backup day," one using the built-in Windows image utility (which is labeled as a Windows 7 utility)...

I went ahead and purchased the download version and installed just now. When you sign into your acronis account online, it shows the license and says it is perpetual and the same serial can be used...

Acronis is a perpetual license to that version. e.g. you continue to get updates to 2020 as long as they supply them, but the software works forever and can be transferred to another machine

yes - the caveat being you can't install it on a server O/S. you can install Acronis on another PC and clone the drive as an external or image it to an SSD via the portable media you create on a USB...

I can tell you from experience that this software works perfectly. I've used it several times by hooking an ssd up through usb and cloning the c hard disk then swapping.

It’s not. I’ve been trying to do balenaetcher and clonezilla on my Mac to set up a hard drive but the drive doesn’t show up as bootable despite balena saying success.
