I had both. The hardware is exactly the same. You can clone the systems to each other too. The controllers alone are pricey now. These systems are easily worth over $100.

Nope. It's slower than a pi4 and it uses some of the same emulators. It can't run the better emulators the pi4 can handle. Example: the faster dreamcast emulator, redream, will never run on a psc.
