Took two days, but I got my credit!
When I was at the pump, I got a card read error- machine said to pay inside. I just tried the card again and it worked. On the AMEX Offer page this deal says...

Yep! Sad to say, my fellow Californians are oblivious to it. Or if it's titled "for the kids", this state just swallows it and says, sure! Over and over again, despite having among the highest gas...

Oh man. I guess this depends on where you live. Locally I've found this price difference for my premium gas.
Chevron - $3.05-15% = $2.60
Costco - $2.69-4% = $2.58
76 - $2.59-15 cent/gal...
