2011 here. I wish HD and memory are still upgradable because that would last me another 10 years. I'm actually looking to upgrade due to "want" rather than "need"

I agree 90%. The 10% that I disagree with is the touchbar -- I really dislike the touchbar and hate that it is bundled up with the laptop itself. There is no non-touchbar MBP that I can see being...

Just be mindful that after 5 years of this mac it will be increasingly frustrating given the transition away from x86. You only have to look back to the previous transition, the PowerPC users were...

I don't think it makes it a doorstop, but the chip transition is, IMO, an important consideration. I'm looking for a new high end computer to last me 5-6 years, so I'm holding off for the Apple...

I disagree. My 6 years old Dell XPS desktop also working strong. Quality computer products should all last that long, no matter mac or PC.
I have a 12 year old AMD Athlon based windows PC that still works just as well as day 1. I recently swapped in an SSD and you'd never know it wasn't new. Our windows 8 work PCs are all 3rd/4th...

Not a bad deal for a great laptop, particularly the $1,799 version with 16GB and 1TB...but these are the prices we’ve been seeing for awhile now, nothing uniquely special.

What is your problem, I’ve seen you in every MacBook thread trashing the product. If you don’t like it then ignore it, no need for your toxicity here.
