But it's not an enterprise drive. It's a consumer external drive with a 1 year warranty. It's just cheaper to produce one drive and market it two ways.

I've been buying the exos 16tb drives for about $375. Not sure how I feel about this deal. I've been pretty happy with Seagate but I also have been using enterprise level drives.

I completely agree. Looking back at my old 500gig, 1tb, 1.5tb, 2tb drives (2tb is where I stopped buying Seagate) NONE of those Seagate drives still function, they have all failed with one 500gig...
