Yep. I bit. Installed and benchmarked very fast. Now I'm waiting for a good time to backup and rebuild.

I bought the 970 Plus under this deal. Used Samsung Data Migration (I only have Samsung drives) and it was effortless. Granted did I see a huge difference in startup between 860 and 970 Plus? Not at...

A $15 PCIe to NVMe riser card will work well in your situation.

This. $65 for WD black 500gb but I'm about to drop $100 for Samsung. Have the 840 Pro SATA and the 960 EVO NVMe. Western Digital bought SanDisk to make SSDs cause physical disks are a dying breed...

My motherboard (ASrock Z87 Extreme 6) doesn't have an M.2 slot though NVME boot support is available with a beta BIOS. I'm assuming that since NVME is natively PCIE I can use any well rated...

The ADATA SU8200 was rated one of the best. I picked up mine for $145 on Amazon about 6 months ago.

You pay the Samsung tax mainly for their reliably. Not having your ssd/nvme spontaneously die for no reason is a nice perk.

Meaning maybe a user likes managing their SSDs under one program (for whatever reason). If I recall correctly, the Samsung Magician software only supports Samsung SSDs. So getting a WD SN750 wouldn’t...

I bought it. I was able to use $10 off $30 Amex promo and the final price was 89.99 + tax. I probably paid $20 premium over other brands but I am at peace - have been eying the this for a long time.

yeah, exactly. It's so close, no one would ever really notice. To get the SN750 500gb for about $70ish is a MUCH better deal than this.

Not that anyone would notice. You really think it’s worth spending $30 more for this drive vs the WD black, which is fairly popular and well received by the PC community? The 500 gb drive often goes...

Yeah, and even as low as $121. It's been on sale at that price a few times within the past 4 months. This doesn't seem like a hot deal for a 500gb NVMe drive. I understand this is one of the...
