someone mentioned to me earlier that Tetra uses tempered (stronger) glass so they could use thinner (lighter) glass. if thinner stronger glass was just as good, that center brace wouldn't be needed....

I’ve always had luck with Marineland. Pumps, filter media, heaters, etc all perform very well. The 55 gal I have has been going for 6 years now, no leaks at all
