Be careful with these. The lock mechanism is delicate. My broke on the usb-c side with the first few months and the SANDISK exchange process is onerous and BRUTAL, i.e. treat you like a deceiving...

Unless you need the small form factor, you can easily find decent (non-DRAM) SSDs at this price. Pair it with a Sabrent USB adapter and you’ll get excellent speed for about $5-10 more.

Interface type is the max theoretical speed. Usually cheap drives have slow memory so the theoretical doesnt matter. And the interface can heat up a lot and thermal throttle. Ive had this happen...

This drive is awful. I've bought two of them, and they both collapse with little pressure and can't even plug then into my phone. Also, they get extremely hot.

No. USB c is simply the connector type which can be inserted either up or down as opposed to USB A which can only be inserted one way. Has nothing to do with the speed.
