Personal opinion (not a chef): paint on knives is not a good idea. They chip and end up in food. Edit: not sure being ceramic could impact the durability of paint.

These are the only knives I've found that can hold up in the dishwasher. They do dull a little bit, but what knives dont after years? I've never sharpened them and they still cut well in my opinion.

They are Ceramic Coated. Not Ceramic knives. The Ceramic coating is the coloring on the knife. I would not bother with these. Sharpening them will inherently make you rub the ceramic coating...
