Believe they stopped doing that unlock portal thing a few years ago. You have to have it activate for a while before you can do that.

I’ve turned on the phone with the sim in it but didn’t activate service at all. Went on WiFi and in airplane mode while using it. I hope it didn’t lock it while being on WiFi.

Locked to At&t. However, most of the SIMs that run on At&t network should work with this phone. For e.g. I have At&t prepaid phones that work with Freedompop SIMs. Unlocking is fairly straightforward...

all AT&T locked phones work with cricket. just make sure to take the AT&T prepaid sim card out of the phone before you turn it on because once it activates the AT&T prepaid sim it might be locked to...
