Read an article that said the 3800x was just an overclocked 3700x and wasnt worth the premium price. You can just overclock the 3700x and have identical percormance.

"What it should be" is debatable. Ryzen makes up for that with its comparativley huge 32MB cache (at 65W). The Intel chip (Core i7-9700K) usually compared to the 3700x only has 12MB - and its 95W....
