The specs I saw on newegg and Amazon show a large gap between 1600 and the supported OC speeds not listing 1866.there are 1600 mhz 8gb 2x4 kits on ebay between 45 and 55.

Yes absolutely. I have that same CPU. And the the mb is LGA1155. They will work. I recommend OCing the CPU not the ram if you can. But that rig should be good for gaming with 16g ram
