The truth is once you load Win 10, a couple of apps, and just ONE Chrome window with a handful of tabs, you'll likely be near 50% RAM usage with 8GB...and that's today. I love our Lenovo desktop....

Your use case is an extreme outlier and most people would be fine with this much ram. You said it yourself that the entire os and chrome itself use around half. Most people do not need 50+ tabs open.

I honestly don't know, the ideapad screen specs are confusing. The one on the amazon comes with active pen. Edit: from the Q&A it seems 250nits, glossy.

I typically have half that. You should look into The Great Suspender chrome extension. It suspends background tabs after a while automatically. That said I have 12GB RAM and kinda wish I had 16.
