Kingston is 3rd tier. We're talking about SSD. Don't mix it with RAM.
The 2nd tier is Toshiba, WD/SanDisk, Micron/Crucial, and any name brand that makes its own NAND flash.
The top tier is...

What am i missing?
Why would someone prefer this WD Blue drive vs a Adata SU800 (or SU760) which are almost the same price, faster, and have better reliability?
Thanks....

For memory, Kingston should be 1st but don't know if that is true for SSDs.
Just bought a Kingston SSD for $55 which is a tad cheaper than this WD.
