MX500. From my experience, Crucial SSD's have been the most reliable. I'd avoid their BX series though; stick with the MX.

With external enclosure the speed is capped based on the usb 2 , 3 or 3.1 port adapter you anyways not utilising its capabilities as nvme drive is much faster and almost all new machines has them now...

Avoid QVO Drives at all cost. MLC, TLC can be OK, but NOT QVO. You want either MLC or TLC 3d with DRAM. QVO = crap
