it's a "basic" gaming laptop with an older CPU, but you can buy xbox GCs from dell (10% discount with GAME10) and stack wiith amex discounts (if you have them) and you end up with a deal

Still, for anything less than the newest games, a GTX 1650 can make things very pretty at only 1080p. The more powerful cards were for higher resolutions.

If all you can afford is $500 and you really want to game, this isn't a bad choice. It should handle lighter games pretty well. Just don't expect to play new AAA on High setting on 1080p.
