Sadly none that I can find right now anywhere near this price range. You're going to spend $750+ before you even get a brighter screen, let alone one with better color accuracy.

If this is the 16 inch model, I will probably give it a try. I got the previous 2018 year model for $479.

I bought the ASUS - 15.6" Gaming Laptop - Intel Core i5 - 8GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 - 512GB SSD from BB months ago. Much better laptop IMO for $10 cheaper. Better looking, better build,...

Thanks for the update. It was showing $698.98 at Walmart.com this morning when I picked it up in the store, removed YMMV.

This seems like a solid starter gaming laptop for sub 600. I’m getting it for my wife who games a little but doesn’t care about refresh rate but wanted a gaming laptop. I know what to expect outta...

I don't care for the extra warranty, never did, so that laptop is $80 more.

Just order it for local pick up. $624, including tax (va). Is there a better price elsewhere? I like the fact that it has dedicated graphics and 2 slots for storage, 1 for pcie and 1 for sata.

It's $589, what would you think it's anything higher than 60 hz

That laptop is also $80 more and I can get a 3 year warranty that includes accidental damage for $79 at Wal-Mart, instead of $250 at Best Buy. So overall it is about $250 cheaper for me.

I have the 2018 model of this laptop. Fine for moderate gaming, but runs really really hot. The speaker area above the keyboard gets too hot to touch after gaming.

I also had the 8th gen of this same model. Thing literally blew up right before 18 months. Pop, then smoke. Luckily CC extended warranty applied. I contacted HP and even though it was out of warranty...

It is still available in some areas, you may need to check brickseek if it is still available in your near vicinity.

Same, to me look at something with deep colors. I have always been able to tell if its IPS that way but if you look at the model number xxxxxxx#aba it will tell you exactly what’s in it. Cannot...

I know this links to an AMD CPU version but it indicates IPS panels are not the rule: Display: 15.6 inch 16:9, 1920 x 1080 pixel 141 PPI, Chi Mei N156HGA-EA3, TN LED, glossy: no, 60 Hz...

The HP one you say has a smaller graphics card and HDD versus M.2. if you configure it the same way as walmart then it's way more cost on HP website

That bad? I don’t plan on gaming 24/7 on this one. Probably use it for a few VM’s here and there, and let my toddle go to town with his games. i hope it holds up

Well that was a bit aggravating. Went to two Walmarts that say they have at least 4 in stock through their website (not BrickSeek) and neither one had them. I wonder what would happen if I ordered...

I have kids and animals, so $80 for accidental damage coverage is a no brainer. The odds are something bad will happen to this laptop over the next 3 years, so knowing it will get replaced, or I will...

The MSRP shows it at $589 and it’s available everywhere. This isn’t a YMMV tbh but it’s not a bad deal for some people

This is about what you should spend for a gtx 1650, 9th gen i5, 60hz ips display w/250nit 45% NTSC screen, 256gb ssd, 8gb ram and WiFi5 w/ BT 4.2. It's not particularly a smokin' deal, but it's a...

Any better alternatives, especially with a better, as in brighter, more color accurate - 45% NTSC, really?! - screen?
