^^ This guy. I couldn't get the Masterbuilt to generate smoke unless I set the temp at 180°. That meant no cold smoking for bacon or salmon. I ended up giving it to a close friend and stuck with my...

Not really. You typically only reload once. Doesn't take long to get back up to a low temperature like 225 or 250.

Yes, with this smoker you will need to open the door to reach the wood chip tray. There is no an outside wood chip loader. Well that sucks, letting all the heat and smoke escape.

Why would you smoke such a low temp? My best smokes always come from 240-255, FWIW. That "golden rule" of 220 is just internet phooey.

I would say try the pellet tube. 12in gets you about 5-6 of consistent smoke at any temp. I haven't even used the smoker box since I got one, just use the smoker to control the temperature.

Thin cuts or low mass meats will be better at that low temp. Otherwise they heat up too fast/cook and stop the smoke prematurely as they hit internal temps too fast. Fish comes to mind
