Yea, the soldered ram is a deal breaker. I was almost in the prior deal until i checked into specs. This is a very odd NUC as all the others i have used had upgraded RAM slots.

I successfully installed ESXi 7 on my $99 Celeron NUC (but with only 8GB of RAM it was awful, so I switched back to Windows 10) so I know why they're attractive. This is a terrible deal, though.
