I don't think this monitor is a good deal considering this deal whom just expired, but is sure to come back. It's $180 for basically the same specs and G-sync is Nvidia certified. I was so happy...

“G-Sync compatible ready” is meaningless. If it’s not on Nvidia’s list, you should not expect a flawless performance with Nvidia cards.

27” at 1080p looks terrible. and the price is no good either. usually these will be under $200....1080p is best no bigger than 24”

That is a VA panel and this deal is for an IPS. Also it looks like that VA has 165 hz refresh rate... So yes they are both 27 inches and 1080p for $250.
