Honestly, I had issues with this grinder and returned it. Ended up buying the OXO grinder for $80 ($20 off original, but routinely dips to $70-75 range) and it is a lot more precise and consistent,...

I wish I had seen this one before I got the cheaper Bodum Bistro one for $34 a few days ago. At least I would have had free no hassle return on Mr. Coffee with Target. :(

A blender will cut beans, while burrs (like those in this grinder) crush them. Burrs are ideal for grinding coffee because the crushing action exposes greater surface area in the bean, meaning you...

Good to know. Also, Hoffman had a great hint to help with the static dust that seems counterintuitive: a few drops of water. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0Dh1W40ILY

Agreed. But if a person has to stick to this price range, the only two worth getting are the Capresso or Oxo - others don't grind as well or have usability issues, as mentioned in this thread.

Water is mildly conductive, so it doesn't allow a differential charge to build up across the individual coffee particles. Any charge build up on a particle will just discharge through the water to...

I previously owned one of these. Unless they have changed the motor, you are not supposed to run consecutive grinds. In practical terms, this meant I couldn’t grind 60g or more without waiting five...
