I have a variety of sizes from both brands and the Dewalts are better. The Irwin pads are constantly slipping off and I've lost some. I won't buy the Irwins anymore, only the Dewalts.

It means your mileage may vary. It's a clearance item. So your store won't match another store's item unless they clearance it out themselves too. Not sure how Home Depot deems what goes on...

The smaller clamps are way too small. The bigger ones have some utility, but still not useful enough for heavier wood. Buy a bigger set or go to harbor freight

I agree the 4in. ones are tiny, they kind of look like toys when you operate them cause you can't fit more than 2 fingers wide on the "hand grip trigger" part! The picture was misleading for me. ...

Same. In fact my old Irwin clamp the pad slips off easily. I thought the small clamps were ridiculous at first but they actually came in handy in a few projects. Thinking about getting another set.
