This can be solved by using a Dremel tool to cut out the fan grill and replace it with a low-resistance metal grill with a higher CFM fan. I've done this dozens of times. It's fun and it works.

These 7010s make a great stable hackintosh machine. CPU can be upgraded to i7 and put a nice Radeon graphics card and you have a worthy Mac mini. You can probably buy these cheaper units on ebay
