Not sure what you are referring to, but yes all the QNAP NAS come with a premium NAS only OS. It is an amazing OS too, better than Synology in my opinion and also better hardware for cheaper.

Np figured as much, it happens. Your best use for those seagates is to use them to backup the NAS nightly or once a week as a redundancy through one of the USB ports.That way you dont wear them...

I did some leg work for you, since I did not see a M2 slot, yes you would have to use one of the bays for SSD and one for a HD which means no RAID. Its worth it though for performance applications....

I bought this Nas and set it up today. I only have one 4tb ironwolf drive in it so far. So far it's been fun and easy to setup being my first Nas. Good little machine.
