Other reviewers didn't site other laptops with this being an issue except that it's because of the blocked vents that they're getting throttled due to temperatures being too high and upon removing it...

There is a peice of plasic "blocking" the vent on this model, it's to redirect eh fan exhaust from the heat sink over to the VRMs and then out of the chassis, if you remove the "block" you're vrms...

I personally don't think it's worth the 350. difference and it's screen is not as good as the 550.00 model. It's a bigger laptop, the SSD space is negligible to me as you can always swap this...

the display is fine out of direct sunlight, and it's straight up overkill indoors. There's no cooling issue with this device. tdie max on this is 95c, and i haven't seen it go over 78c while gaming...
