Is this better than the Macbook Pro for $1050? Does it have the good keyboard or does this have the BAD keyboard?

Took a leap of faith with the Air, and very pleased with it. Doesn't run hot at all.

Aside from monitoring the temps that routinely ran in the 70s, the keyboard would feel hot to the touch. Hated it and returned it. MBP runs cool and I wouldn’t recommend the Air to anyone.

You are ignoring the heat issues with the i5 and i7. What is the point of the extra power if you are not getting it due to the CPU overheating? May as well save the cash and get the i3.
