Benchmarks don't generally reflect real world usage so don't count on 40%. If you're gaming and really care about FPS Intel is still king but you usually pay extra for that.

Yes. Currently, all Ryzen 7 and 9 CPUs require a discrete GPU. Only the Ryzen 3 and 5 with a "G" designation are APUs. This will change with the 4000 series CPUs, it appears.
