That makes no sense. This is a basic, generic laptop. It does not compare to the more featured and powerful macbook Pro. Did you read the screen type on the Dell???

70% is stretching it. The newest version requires a minimum of 4GB based on the 2013 MBP specs. I'm not saying this laptop won't run in 5 years, it will probably be at the fringe of acceptable....

My Vostros have had years of BiOS updates, including extra RAM and CPU upgrade support. E.g my 1500 went Merom->Penryn and 4GB -> 8GB max.

I have a 2016 MBP 13" that I bought used in 2017 for $1k. Looking to sell to get the 2020 version and on eBay the average completed sale is around $700 for a mint condition computer like mine.
