Found this 2 unit wifi ac mesh router at local microcenter for 19.99$. Reviews are mixed for this product. but at 20$ can be used as secondary home wireless solution for your smart home devices...

Spoke to the customer support and was told they are fixing the app situation on their end. Also got the latest firmware from them. After updating that and setting up through the web on 192.168.3.1....

ok, i bit and bought it earlier today. downloaded the app and it wouldnt connect to the router. i kept getting the error "no internet connection". I had to complete the setup through the browser...
