Adding to the other comments - the lever lock mechanism does not work. I threw mine out a couple years back for a traditional one. Why we need fancy mechanisms like this is beyond me.

If you regularly measure over four feet, spend a few bucks more and get the Fat Max by Stanley. Better overall quality and the tape is wider so it reaches farther without buckling.

I agree with the rest...just realized mine is crap today too. The lever lock does not lock. Fine tape of you only have to measure lumber at your saw, anything else, this is junk.

Agreed with the other posters about cheap metal. I couldn't measure from the floor to the ceiling without it wobbling around uncontrollably. Even if measuring along the floor, it won't stay straight.
