Have you tried using Sam's club members mark paper towels. $17 for 15 rolls and they are pretty absorbent. They are also individually wrapped which can be beneficial for some people....

costco bounty is not that cheap now. its almost $1.50 per roll on the cheap end one, like super thin and small. their "standard" bounty is almost $1.80 per roll.
