We just do a few pumps of the Suave kids shampoo/body wash and always have bubbles at the end of the bath. We also have hard water.

If you have a showerhead that can produce a strong jet, that will produce more bubbles than the faucet.

The main complaint seems to be that the bubbles don’t last long, so if your kids will have a problem with that, I would avoid.
