Me too. 54R and 36” pants. Last time I rented a tux I could have fit an extra person in the pants and the jacket just barely fit. Touching my elbows together would have ripped the thing apart.

You have a 10” drop, same as me (44 vs 34) which is a little more the the normal off-the-rack suit, so a little tailoring is likely needed for the best fit. 6-7” drop is more average.

So if it says to subtract 7 from suit size to get pant's size, does it mean that if I buy 42R suit it will come with size 35 pants? Cause my current jacket is 42R, but my pants are 32.
