Good deal indeed. This used to be the deal price before pandemic and it has been up since. I keep seeing ideal price as 15/tb but never seen 10 tb hit that.

I think your math is a bit off. For rounding purposes, we will say that a 10TB drive is roughly 10,000GB (1000GB=1TB) Conservatively, let's say all my movies are 25GB each. That's about 400...

If you rip your hd bluray and 4k collection, 8tb is no where near enough space. Add in redundancy and you can double whatever number you thought was enough.

Same here, but they are air filled and do not require a pin mod for power. I saw about a 2 degree temp increase when I replaced all the drives in my nas with these.

Any noise has nothing to do with orientation. They're sealed. Also, you are not required to use them in any particular direction so long as the vents aren't blocked. My "vertical" drives are all flat...
