This isn't dual fuel
Post #139488182 added 08-09-2020 7:42 PM by Hat-Trick in Deal Talk
If you don't believe me, research it yourself. It's not hard. Also, check out the article that the user Behave posted. It says a lot about the Westinghouse name.

Yeah I don’t see how you could get 240v from two out of phase generators. Sorry.

How does Firman compare to Westinghouse?...
Post #139473596 added 08-09-2020 7:56 AM by Tourist1292 in Deal Talk
It was $210 cheaper before the $60 cord.
Post #139511420 added 08-10-2020 4:14 PM by Tourist1292 in Deal Talk
No it doesn't. It has two 120-Volt household power outlets (NEMA 5-20R) and one NEMA 120-Volt L5-30A.

Dual would be quite nice, but I found it hard to pass up this at the price especially with a 3 year warranty.

Nice. been waiting for the dual fuel. I'm torn.

Westinghouse is a brand that has been around for more than a century. It pretty much died out in the late 1900's at some point, and came back as re-branded products made in Korea and sold in places...

Anyone know when the dual fuel is supposed to come back in stock?

in 4 1. Will return the Sam's Club one.

If you're a Costco member, I just ordered the Firman 2900W dual fuel inverter for $599.99. ...

I see it at 760 and in stock too.

It's still not 220.
Post #139464620 added 08-08-2020 6:38 PM by Tourist1292 in Deal Talk
With the parallel kit, you get the almost the same power from two 2200W units and can be plugged into the panel. It is definitely more flexible with 2 units. You can turn off one unit at the parallel...

On my wish list: Inverter that runs on propane with a 30A 240V plug. My duromax runs well but the noise is incredible and one of my UPS refuses the power it delivers
Post #139470647 added 08-09-2020 4:28 AM by djmt99 in Deal Talk
The parallel ports are very visible in the photos, too. This will give you 240V

It all depends what you're using it for. Two units can be used in two different places. They're lighter and easier to move around. It also gives you redundancy if one unit fails.

Just wanted to add something that is relevant to me and might help you. Others have noted that two 2220s in parallel would be more flexible, and that's true if that's all the power you need. However,...

Yup . And a pain to fill 2 of them more frequently because of the smaller size fuel tanks.
Post #139511561 added 08-10-2020 4:19 PM by Tourist1292 in Deal Talk
The parallel cord does not support iGen4500.

So another words you have no personal factual evidence,. you're strictly operating on a hunch they're no good. Just wondering.

It dropped another $30. If I didn't just pick up the Wen 3800 watt inverter generator then I would have jumped on this one.

Can you parallel this with the igen2200? Always wondered if you could parallel generators with different outputs.
Post #139461017 added 08-08-2020 3:01 PM by steeevo00 in Deal Talk
Yes I know. I've been waiting for the dual fuel to come back in stock. At this price it's hard not to get this one
Post #139470737 added 08-09-2020 4:39 AM by hypermiler in Deal Talk
How is anyone connecting this or two igen2200 with parallel to house if they only have the 120v RV plug and not the 240 4 prong? I do see the parallel kit for igen4500 with 240v plug but that means...

More efficient to get one unit and tie into electric panel. Can't get more flexible.

The parallel kit has 240V plug.

I think reliability is the same. I just don't like storing gasoline and cleaning carburetors. Propane is simple and clean- I also use it for my grill, heat lamp and firepit. I get around 9-10 hours...

The 4500W does not provide 220V either.

I just got this for $729 shipped and with taxes, It was $782 when I clicked the link not $810 as listed on post ? I also figured this would be the perfect 1st purchase using the the Amazon CC and...

It wouldn't be $150 cheaper after you add the parallel kit and you would double the maintenance.
Post #139473143 added 08-09-2020 7:37 AM by coachclass in Deal Talk
Is a propane powered generator a lot more reliable? I'm imagining all my gasoline powered small engines and all the problems I've read onto in the spring. A gasoline powered generator seems like...
Post #139644866 added 08-15-2020 7:16 PM by hermancm in Deal Talk
Plus running a genny on LP costs more and you get less power. I run a small 2000/2200 generator that sips gas and every gas station up here sells non oxygenated gas so see no need for a propane...
