Buy a dayton sub 1200 or 1500. Read the article I referenced earlier. I assume when u say ur sub went out that it was the amp. U might be able to cheaply replace the amp for less than a complete sub....

WRONG. ALL that matters is a subwoofers output when trying to "match " it with another sub. It's output is not defined by it's brand name or design. And a second sub WILL add more bass...slightly....

If your sub, due to placement, has a "hump" (resonant frequency due to room acoustics), the avr will "see" that and turn the sub's trim down to compensate. Hopefully you've done the sub crawl already...
